A Bank for the New Generations
Banif Bank (Malta) p.l.c is commemorating its first anniversary since the start of its operations in Malta with the launch of the New Generations Account - a savings product for children up to the age of 16.
To celebrate this event the Directors of Banif Bank visited Mater Dei’s Maternity Ward and presented a New Generations Account with a €150 deposit to all the babies born on the 21st of January, 2009. During the event, Mr. Joaquim F. Silva Pinto, CEO of Banif Bank said, ‘This is a very special day for both Banif and the parents. As a Bank of the new generation, we want to play an important role in the life of the new generations and decided to help the parents by offering an incentive to save for their children’s future’. The Bank is naturally extending the offer to all the children born on the 21st January 2009.
The New Generations Account has been specifically designed around the needs of the younger generation. The account will help parents or grandparents save for their kids or grandkids and grant financial flexibility to cater for their future requirements. The product offers an excellent return and requires small regular contributions. Another interesting feature of the New Generations Account is that the account holders do not have any limit on the amounts that can be deposited. After 6 months from the opening of the account, clients will also be eligible for a personal loan for the sole purpose of assisting the child. Such a loan will also attract a reduced interest rate. In addition to this, a free gift will be given when opening a new account and eventually also upon its renewal.
‘Account holders will be pleasantly surprised with what the product has to offer and how it will help in the development of the children’s future’, concluded Mr. Silva Pinto.
