
We're seeking to recruit an Accounts Executive to join our Financial and Management Accounting Unit.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- the Bank's cost control, including but not limited to analysis, investigation and reporting of meaningful cost information;
- ensuring that invoices are paid in a timely manner and with the respective authorisation level required;
- leading the preparation of the annual budgeting process as well as monitoring of same budget throughout the year;
- assisting with the reconciliation of supplier statements;
- assisting in the application of accounting policies and procedures;
- assisting in the upkeep of various registers forming part of the ERP chain of activities;
- assisting in the execution of internal controls;
- assisting in the preparation of feasibility studies; and
- other ad hoc tasks delegated by the Manager of the Unit.
Competencies and experience
The potential candidate should be reliable and trustworthy, well-organised with a disposition to learn and have a team-oriented approach.
You must:
- have a diploma in Banking & Finance or Financial Services and be well-versed with the banking & regulatory industry;
- have excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills;
- be highly organized, pro-active self-starter, able to work on own initiative and excellent attention to detail;
- have the ability to work both independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
- be flexible and able to meet strict deadlines;
- have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- have a minimum of 3 years working experience in a Finance Department;
- have a working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards; and
- have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
