Accounts Officer


The Bank is seeking to recruit an Accounts Officer to join its Financial and Management Accounting Unit.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • run the day-to-day postings in the system and reconciliations;
  • assist in the process of compilation of regulatory reports;
  • assist in the application of accounting policies and procedures;
  • assist in the maintenance of the General Ledger and the administration of non-banking analysis codes for effective reporting purposes;
  • assist with accruals and prepayments, to ensure correct cut-off of administrative expenses; and
  • assist in the management of fixed assets including the monitoring of related running costs and reporting for cost centre management purposes.

Competencies and experience

The potential candidate should be reliable and trustworthy, well-organised with a disposition to learn and have a team-oriented approach.

You must:

  • possess a University Degree or Diploma in Accounts, Economics, Business Management or Banking and Finance, or in the process of reading for an ACCA, ACA or a similar qualification; and
  • possess excellent Microsoft Office application skills mainly in the use of MS Excel.
