Administrative Officer - Credit Operations Unit

The Bank is seeking to recruit an Administrative Officer to join its Credit Operations Unit.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of the Unit, the person will be responsible to assist in the carrying out of day-to-day operational duties related to customer loan facilities processing maintenance.

You will be responsible to:

  • Pledging Life / Building Policies, shares & Bonds;
  • Analysing bank architect reports & updating information on Bank’s database system;
  • Checking perfection of securities & conditions prior / post contract & updating information on Bank’s database system;
  • Conducting reviews of customers that hold House and Personal loan facilities & issuing corporate clients review letters;
  • Knowledge on Bills of Exchange, Invoicing Discounting, Bank Guarantees and Future Advances facilities; and
  • Completing end of month Central Bank Reporting & other regulatory reporting.

Competencies and experience

You must be a reliable, trustworthy team player with unquestionable integrity. You must show an aptitude for learning, be capable to work on your own initiative in a dynamic environment and be meticulous in your work.

You must:

  • a Diploma in Business Management or Banking and Finance;
  • a target driven approach to work;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English;
  • excellent Microsoft Office application skills particularly in MS Excel and MS Word; and
  • previous banking experience which will be considered an asset.
