
We're seeking to recruit a Call Centre Officer to join our Retail Banking Unit.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- answering customers' queries and providing a high level of customer service via phone, e-mails and messages at all times;
- using an effective approach to handle telephone tasks like call transfers, taking messages and callbacks;
- using the most appropriate way to communicate with different behaviour types on the telephone;
- following-up on customers' written requests and directing customers to the service they require;
- making outbound calls to existing and prospective customers;
- accomplishing sales and other targets as required;
- being able to work independently and displaying time flexibility towards shifts as per work exigencies;
- assisting customers with the use of the Bank's direct channels including but not limited to the Bank's website and internet banking;
- liaising with other Units/Departments as required
- presenting new solutions according to client's needs;
- using experience to promote and present new ideas
- handling customer complaints in a professional manner;
- ensuring compliance with the Bank's guidelines, policies and procedures at all times; and
- performing other related assignments/projects as requested by Management.
Competencies and experience
The potential candidate should be reliable and trustworthy, well-organised with a disposition to learn and have a team-oriented approach.
You must:
- ideally, have a Diploma in Business Studies or equivalent;
- have knowledge of banking fundamentals;
- be proficient with MS Office applications particularly Excel. ECDL qualification will be considered as an asset;
- have strong communication and telephone skills;
- be Fluent in Maltese, English and ideally Italian; and
- ideally have previous experience working in a Call Centre which will be considered an asset.
