BNF Bank supports Richmond Foundation’s ‘Gift of Therapy’

During the month of June, BNF employees endorsed Richmond’s ‘The Gift of Therapy’ initiative, developed by the Foundation to raise funds for free therapy to serve those who need it but cannot pay for it.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Non-Profit Organisation experienced an increase in demand for its services and a substantial decrease in its financial revenue. It is our turn to help Richmond Foundation keep their services for the public going, free of charge and/or subsidised.

‘’This is not the first collaboration that the Bank has set in motion with Richmond.  Our employees have successfully been trained by the Foundation for Mental Health First Aid at the workplace and are also offered an all-year round, free support programme which has been developed specifically to assist anyone with emotional distress’’ said Maruska Buttigieg Gili, BNF Bank’s Chief Risk Officer. ’’With therapy being a life changer for people experiencing distress, we support Richmond Foundation to continue providing free and subsidised professional therapy sessions to people who do not afford them’’.

Mental health affects how we deal with our day-to-day activities with consequential influence on our emotional, psychological and social well-being. With the Bank’s pledged support for the local community and with the wellbeing of BNF employees top of mind, BNF is committed to continue raising awareness on mental health and bring into the limelight Richmond’s therapy services.

We encourage everyone to help a person facing mental health issues by giving a small contribution via the Foundation’s portal - www.richmond.org.mt/the-gift-of-therapy/
