Product Analyst

We're seeking to recruit a Product Analyst to join our Product Strategy Unit (PSU).

Duties and responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • perform data analytics to generate activity reports and other ad-hoc reporting requests to internal and external stakeholders as and when requested;
  • coordinate and liaise with the technology department on data required for specific tasks;
  • gather market intelligence, identify trends and perform customer and competitive behaviour analysis to support strategy development and product commercialisation;
  • interpret data analysis results and make recommendations to improve the Bank's performance and profitability in relation to its products;
  • assist in the preparation of business cases for the introduction of new products or reviews of existing products;
  • assist in the preparation of the necessary product related documentation such as application forms, terms and conditions and internal communication;
  • participate in the development, testing and implementation of new projects, products, programs, and plans to be achieved on short and long term basis;
  • assist the department in developing project KPIs and overseeing the achievement of such;
  • keep abreast with business and market trends, both from a local and international perspective;
  • keep the Bank's Products Catalogue and Tariff of Charges up to date;
  • be a reference point for product related queries;
  • be responsible for maintaining the departmental instruction manual and identify areas of improving efficiency;
  • keep abreast with new digital developments affecting the banking industry and highlighting any opportunities that these may present; and
  • perform other related assignments/projects as requested by management.

Competencies and experience

The potential candidate should have a positive attitude, be well-organised, with a disposition to learn, meticulous, with a team-oriented approach to work.

You must:

  • be proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes;
  • possess a recognised qualification in a Mathematical, Economics, Business Management, Banking or Financial area;
  • have previous experience in a similar role, this will be considered as an asset, although this is not a must;
  • be able to communicate effectively and explain complex matters in a concise but clear manner;
  • be commercially minded and client oriented while safeguarding interests of the Bank;
  • be multitasking, target oriented with good time management skills; and
  • have an analytical mindset with an eye for detail;
