Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- identifying trends towards improving the Bank's performance and profitability by performing customer and competitive behavior analysis across all channels;
- interpreting analysis results and making recommendations;
- tracking the results of the business against stated goals and objectives;
- being the point of reference to the Products Analyst;
- keeping abreast of business and market trends, which may affect the bank;
- keeping up to date the Bank's Products Catalogue and Tariff of Charges;
- being a reference point for product related queries;
- generating the monthly activity reports and other ad-hoc reporting requests to support business decisions;
- co-ordinating implementation procedures related to new products or enhancements;
- being responsible for coordinating the meetings chaired by the Products Strategy Unit including the recording of minutes;
- assisting in developing campaigns and for commercial units and the call centre;
- being responsible for maintaining the departmental instruction manual and identify areas of improving efficiency;
- participating in the development, testing and implementation of new projects, products, programs, and plans to be achieved on short and long term basis;
- keeping abreast of new digital developments affecting the banking industry and highlighting any opportunities that these may present;
- assisting the department in developing project KPIs and overseeing the achievement of such; and
- performing other related assignments/projects as requested by management.
Competencies and experience
The potential candidate should have a positive attitude, be well-organised, with a disposition to learn. The selected candidate has to be meticulous with a team-oriented approach to work.
You must:
- possess a recognised qualification in a Mathematical, Economics, Business Management, Banking or Financial area;
- have previous experience in a similar role will be considered as an asset;
- be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in MS-Excel;
- be able to communicate effectively and explain complex matters in a concise but clear manner;
- be commercially minded and client oriented while safeguarding the interests of the Bank;
- be multitasking, target oriented and with good time management skills; and
- have an analytical mindset with an eye for detail;
