Relationship Officer

The Bank is seeking to recruit a Relationship Officer to join its Corporate Banking Unit.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • maintain relationships with clients on the administrative side;
  • step-in for the Relationship Manager in his/her absence;
  • promote the Bank’s products and services;
  • enhance relationships with customers to meet the Bank’s objectives for profitability and business growth;
  • develop potential client leads;
  • prepare documentation and credit proposals for management review; and
  • analyse financial documentation including accounts, business projections and plans for lending in addition to presenting sound recommendations.

Competencies and experience

The potential candidate must be reliable and trustworthy, well-organised with a disposition to learn and have a team-oriented approach. The candidate should demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese. 

You must:

  • have sound knowledge of banking and lending principles; 
  • be able to prioritise, multi-task and work under pressure;
  • have strong research and analytical skills;
  • have excellent knowledge of MS Office tools;
  • have a minimum of one-year banking experience; and 
  • have an MQF Level 3 academical qualification. Matriculation certificates at advanced/intermediate level or equivalent are considered an asset. 
Candidates with previous banking experience will be given preference.
